Financial literacy resources online

The Ministry of Education’s online curriculum site, Te Kete Ipurangi, has resources for teachers and tutors who are providing financial literacy training. Links are provided to resources in Australia, the US and the UK as well as sites providing information on interactive games.

While some of the resources are definitely for children, many are not.

If you haven’t had a look already, this site maybe worth a browse.

Alan Tuckett, UK adult learning champion, honoured with knighthood

Alan Tuckett was honoured in the UK New Year honours list.

Alan led the National Institute for Adult Continuing Education for 23 years and visited Aotearoa New Zealand several times providing inspirational addresses to ACE conferences. He was involved in starting the British adult literacy campaign in the 1970s and in 1991 launched Adult Learner’s Week which has since become an international UNESCO event.
